Designing the Loop: Motion Graphics for Zluri's GenAI Hackathon 2023

This video visual stage for Zluri's GenAI Hackathon 2023—a two-day internal event geared toward sparking the next wave of generative AI innovation for the Zluri platform. This looped video, playing continuously on the auditorium’s big screen, brought energy and unity to the space as 18 teams competed to create transformative GenAI ideas.

The creative process was a blend of brainstorming, prototyping in Figma, and dynamic animation in After Effects. We crafted retro tech motifs—think floppy disks and ASCII art—layered with crisp transitions, playful Smileys, and bold callouts. Key moments highlight the hackathon’s core details: the challenge to innovate, the excitement of competition, and the lure of a ₹3 lakh cash prize for the winning team.

Visually, the loop was designed to be both lively and non-intrusive, cycling every 2 minutes. A ticker format showcased each team’s name at the screen’s base, building a sense of collective momentum. Pops of color, animated "hackathon" typography, and occasional UI-inspired overlays echoed the creativity of the event itself. The result: a visual anchor that energized the room, celebrated Zluri’s people, and underscored GenAI’s transformative potential—all while letting the hackathon action take center stage.
